Epispadias is a rare congenital anomaly of the genitourinary system, primarily seen in male patients. Typical features include a shortened penis, dorsal curvature, a prepuce that hangs over the ventral aspect of the penis, a flattened glans, and a urethral opening located on the dorsal side of the penis. Severe cases of epispadias may be associated with bladder exstrophy and abdominal defects. Based on the severity of the anomaly and the location of the urethral opening, epispadias is classified into three types: glanular, penile, and complete epispadias. Treatment often involves reconstructive surgery.
